Which Provider Offers the Fastest Broadband Speed With Their Sports Package?

Virgin Media offers the fastest broadband speed clocking in at 108 Mbps vs 67 Mbps with BT and 59 Mbps with Sky. We strongly recommend that if you plan to watch sports in 4K to consider the broadband speed on offer.

BT Sport Ultra HD requires a minimum broadband speed of at least 44 Mbps which leaves very little bandwidth for other Wi-Fi users in the household. Netflix indicated on their website that using their Ultra HD (UHD) service requires 25 Mbps download speeds.

Which Sports Package Is The Cheapest?

BT offers the cheapest sports package with their £100 Reward MasterCard offer for new customers getting BT Sport & Fibre 2. When you subtract £100 off the contract price it averages out to £70.07 per month. 

Virgin Media is only £3.87 per month (£73.94 Per Month) more and offers 108 Mbps download speeds vs 67 Mbps with BT. Sky is only slightly more with a £74.66 per month price and comes with Sky Cinema movie channels.

If you’re after the lowest price then we recommend BT, if you need ultrafast broadband we suggest going with Virgin Media. If you prefer to have movie channels with your package then we recommend getting Sky.
