Book of Love is a film about an English novelist (Henry) whose book failed in the UK market but miraculously is popular in Mexico. As the book gains popularity, Henry is invited to promote it in Mexico. Once Henry is in Mexico, he quickly figures out why his book was successful in the first place. Spanish translator Maria had rewritten his dull novel and turned it into an erotic masterpiece which infuriated Henry.
To add icing to the cake for Henry, the book publisher insists that Maria and Henry do a book tour together.
