If a customer isn’t too fussed about download speeds than we will recommend the most economical broadband and TV deal. Our bandwidth calculator was designed to give you an estimate of the broadband speeds you need for your household.
Just like different appliances use more energy than others (i.e. oven vs lightbulb) our calculator will give you a maximum speed and an average speed. The maximum speed is the broadband speed you use if ALL devices were being used at once.
The average speed is with the average consumption rate of 66% and what would normally be used on average unless you had a LAN party. For those not familiar with a LAN party it is where a household hosts a large group of friends playing online games together.
